Mirza Ghulam Ahmed's Challenge About "Tawaffi" Answered

Whenever You argue with qadianies on the Subject of Death of Jesus (PBUH) especially the verse "Ya Essa Inni Matawaffeeka" They come with a long copy paste. 1st argument they give, wherever when Allah is subject and Humanbeing object the word "Tawaffi" can not be translated other than Death

Tawaffi Means Only Death In Quran???

They also come up saying " The word "Tawaffi" is mentioned in Quran 25 times, 23 times with the meaning of death why it can not be translated 2 times with the same meanings when it is used for Jesus (PBUH)

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed writes, in whole Quran, from beginning to end wherever the word "Tawaffi" is used every time it is used only for death...

(RK Vol 3 Azla Auham Page 224 footnotes)

Now let us analyze the knowledge of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed. Allah says in Sura Al Baqra

وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لا يُظْلَمُونَ

And fear the Day when ye shall be brought back to Allah. Then shall every soul be paid what it earned, and none shall be dealt with unjustly.

Al-Qur'an, 002.281

And in Sura Al Nahal

يَوْمَ تَأْتِي كُلُّ نَفْسٍ تُجَادِلُ عَنْ نَفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ وَهُمْ لا يُظْلَمُونَ

One Day every soul will come up struggling for itself, and every soul will be recompensed (fully) for all its actions, and none will be unjustly dealt with.

Al-Qur'an, 016.111

No sane Qadiani can translate it here as death.

When Allah is Subject and Humanbeing Object?

Mirza Ghulam Writes...

If any perosn can bring a single example from whole Quran, Ahadith or from old/new arabic literature, where Allah is subject, human being is object and Tawaffi is used other than "taking soul and death" and used for taking body then I vow to god I will sell my property to give 1000 rupees as a reward.

(RK Vol 3 Azala Oham Page 603)

Mirza himself translated as " I will protect you from such evil death" (Siraj e Munir page 23) and " I will fulfill my blessings on you" in Braheen e Ahmediyya... But we know they do not give a damn to their prophet.. Let us kill their argument from a Sahih Hadith...

Argument Killed!!
==============

وإذا رمى الجمار لا يدري أحد ما له حتى يتوفاه الله يوم القيامة

"And when one throws pebbles (at the Satan during Hajj) he does not know what reward is there for him till Allah gives it in full to him in full on the Day of Judgment."

(Targhib wal Tarhib 2/160. Classified as Hasan by Albani in Sahih Targhib wal Tarhib, Hadith 1155)

This wording is found in

Shaykh Ali Muttaqi's Kanzul Ummal Hadith 22394
Imam Haithmi's Mawarid al-Zam'aan 1/240
Imam Dimyati's Mutajar al-Rabih 157

al-Munzi classified it as Sahih in his Tarhib wal Tarhib
al-Dimyati classified it as Sahih
and Albani classified it as Hasan

Indeed Allah Knows The Best!

The word you have used is tuwaffa and not tawwafa. Tuwaffa occurs 18 times in the Qur'an and only means to pay in full. There are 3 derivatives of the root waw-fā-yā in the Qur'an:

- Tuwaffa: Occurs 18 times and always means to pay in full
- Awfā: Occurs 18 times and always means to repay
- Tawaffa: Occurs 25 times and always means death, except once where it means to sleep.

Proof: http://corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=wfy

The verse in Surah Nahl you have mentioned for example is:

يَوْمَ تَأْتِي كُلُّ نَفْسٍ تُجَادِلُ عَنْ نَفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ

"On the day where every soul that struggled will be paid in full for what it earned." (16:111)

The word used specifically is "tuwaffā" meaning to be paid in full, as in the other 17 times where it means this.

The word tawwafa always means death the 25 times it is mentioned except once where it means sleep:

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُمْ بِالنَّهَارِ

"And He is the One who takes your souls (yatawaffākum) at night (bi'l-layl) and knows what you do during the day."(6:60)

In other words, sleep is mawt al-majāzi or metaphorical death.

Allah Himself explains the only two meanings of tawaffa (and not tuwaffa nor awfā) in another verse, where He says:

Allāhu yatawaffa’l-anfusahīna mawtihā wa’l-latī lam tamut fī manāmihā. Fa yumsiku’l-latī qadhā ‘alayhā’l-mawt wa yursilu’l-ukhrā ilā ajalin-musamma.

"God takes the souls (yatawaffa) at the time of their death and also when people sleep. Then, He keeps the souls [that He took] by His decree, upon their death. And He sends the others back to this world for an appointed time [during sleep]." (39:42)

So indeed, tawaffa means only death or sleep, the word tuwaffa only means to be paid in full, and the word awfā only means to repay.

So, nice try, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad seems to beat you here in terms of Arabic lexicon.

Pardon for delayed response as I just came across this post.
So Tayyab, please refer to the book "Siraj e Muneer" page 47 by Miza Ghulam Ahmed where he said that this same verse was revealed on him by AlMighty in the case of Pandit Laikh Raam and translated by his own hand that God will 'survive' him.....
Man you are welcome to explain now please....
