Does "Khatam Un Nabiyeen" Allow Jesus to Descend?

Let us talk that, will descend of Jesus make any impact on Khatam e Nabuwat i.e. seal of Prophethood?? Let us see this matter under the saying of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) on whom the Quran was revealed

Qadyanies/Ahmedies Often quote below Hadith to prove their point that Syyeda Ayesha(ra) had a belief that Prophethood is continue,

Hadith # 1
======

Hazrat Ayesha (ra) said “Call him the Khatim al-Nabiyyin; but do not say that there shall not come a Prophet after him.”
(Al-Suyuti Durr-i-Manthur, Vol. V, p.204).

Hadith # 2
======

The same statement of ‘A’isha has been quoted in the Ta’wil al-ahadith of Ibn Qutaiba. In the Durr-i-Manthur a similar statement of Mughira ibn Shu’ba has been quoted through a reference to the Musannaf of Ibn Abi Shaiba: (It is related) from al-Sha’bi who said that a man sitting near Mughira ibn Shu’ba proclaimed: Blessings be upon Muhammad the Last of the Prophets, and there shall not come after him any Prophet! Mughira told him: When you say Khatim al-Nabiyyin, you need not further say, there shall not come a Prophet after him. For we have been told a hadith (from the Prophet) that ‘Isa is also to be (again) commissioned: and he was sent before him and (will be sent) after him.

So from above hadith it is quite vivid What Hazrat Ayesha (ra) meant to say and What was her belief regarding Khatm e Nabuwat.



Hadith # 3
======

Ibn Abi Hatim on the authority of Abu Hurariah that the Prophet once said: “I am the first of the Prophets in creation, and the last of them in being commissioned.”

(Ibn Kathir, on the margins of Fath al-bayan).


Hadith # 4
======

“(It is related) on the authority of Abu Hurairah directly from the Prophet explaining the Qur’anic verse: (Remember) when We accepted their covenant from the Prophets, and from you (O Muhammad),
and from Noah,...” (33:7). He commented: ‘I was the first in respect of creation and I am the last of them in respect of Appointment’.”

(Narrated by Ibn Abi Hatim, Ibn Mirdawaihi, Abu Nu’aim in his Dala’il (p.6), al- Dailami, Ibn ‘Asakir, Ibn Abi Shaiba, Ibn Jarir and Ibn Sa’d, as quoted in the Tafsir of Ibn Kathir, old edition, with Baghawi on its margin, Vol. 8, p.89, al-Darral-Manthur, Vol. 5, p.84; Kanz al-’ummal, Vol. 6, p.112).


Hadith # 5
======

“(It is related) on the authority of Qatada who reports the Prophet to have said: ‘I was the first of mankind in respect of creation, and shall be the last of them to be Commissioned’.”

(Narrated by Ibn Sa’d as a mursal hadith, as quoted in the Kanz, Vol. 6, p.102; also narrated by Ibn Abi Shaiba from Qatada, as in al-Durr, Vol. 5, p.184).


Hadith # 6
======
In a long hadith concerning al-Isra’ (Night-Journey of the Prophet), (it is related) on the authority of Abu Hurairah directly from (the Prophet): “O Gabriel, who is with you?” He said (to the Angels in reply): “It is Muhammad the Messenger of Allah the Last of the Prophets… (till he said)... Then Allah the Blessed said unto him: I have taken you for my beloved. It is also recorded in the Torah that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam is the beloved of the Most Beneficent. And We have sent you to all mankind. I have made your Ummah the earliest and the last of all the nations. I have also made your Ummah such as no khutbah (sermon, or address) shall be valid unless people testify that you are My servant and My Messenger. I have made you the first of the Prophets in creation, and the last of them in respect of Commissioned. I also gave you the seven repeated (verses - i.e., the Surat al-Fatiha) and I did not give it to any other Prophet before you: and I have given you the last verses of the Surat al-Baqara from that treasure which is (hidden) under the Throne and which I did not give to any other Prophet. I have also made you a Fatih (an opener) and a Khatim (one who ends a thing).”

(Narrated by al-Bazzar - see Majma’ al-zawa’id, pp.27- 29). This hadith is also narrated in the Khasa’is al-kubra, p.171, on the authority of Ibn Jarir, Ibn Abi Hatim, Ibn Mirdawaihi, Abu Ya’la and al- Baihaqi).

Hadith # 7
======
“(It is related) in a long hadith on the authority of Anas directly (from the Prophet) who said: ‘All praise be to Allah Who had sent to me as Mercy for the creatures and (Messenger) unto all mankind... (till he said:) and made my Ummah the last of the nations, and still they are the first of them. Allah the Blessed the Exalted said: I made your Ummah the last of the people and yet they are the first of them… (till He said:) I made you the first of the Prophets in respect of creation, and the last of them in respect of Appointment… (till He said:) and I made you the Fatih (one who opens the chain of Prophets) and the Khatim (one who closes the chain of Prophets).’”

(Narrated by Abu Na’aim as recorded in the al-Khasa’is al-kubra, Vol. 2, p.197)



These are very clear facts that the term Khatim al-Nabiyyin and Akhir al- Nabiyyin mean only that the Holy Prophet is the last of the Prophets -peace be upon them - in respect of his being commissioned (to the people). From this point of view, it is not infeasible or incompatible to any early Prophet to remain (a Prophet) after him or later to be sent to this world.

Further it is mentioned in Sahih Ibn Habban in the commentry of Verse 43:61 that Jesus will descend before the day of judgment


، عن ابن عباس ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في قوله : ( وإنه لعلم للساعة ) ، قال : « نزول عيسى ابن مريم من قبل يوم القيامة »

Narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) from the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) about the verse و إنه لعلم للساعة ['And he shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment):'] He said: 'Descent of 'Eisa ibn Maryam before the Day of Judgement.'

Jesus lived for 120 years.? A Qadiani argument

Very often Qadianis would present a tradition from an ISLAMIC source in their vain attempt to prove that Jesus (PBUH) God Forbid ! died a natural death. They will say that the tradition says Jesus lived for 120 years, actually he came to kashmir and died there.
the tradition goes as;

"And I have been told that there is no Prophet after other Prophet but he lives a life half then the one who lived earlier. And I have been told that Jesus, the son of Mary lived for a hundred and twenty years and I do not see myself but approaching sixties"

{Kanzul Ummal vol. 13 pg. 676 Hadith 37732}

one would often find this on Qadiani sites.

Now let me respond to this;

Firstly this is a weak tradition. If you consult the Books of Takhrij & Jarah wa Ta'adeel (Classification of Ahadith) like "Majma'a al-Zawaid wa Manba al-Fawaid" by Imam Haithmi, we come to know that this is a WEAK TRADITION. The Tradition is originally from Mu'jam al-Tabrani from which Imam Ali Muttaqi al-Hindi, the compiler of Kanzul Ummal has taken this tradition (he hasn't mentioned the Chain of Narrators for this reason, as he has only taken it from another source).

Imam Haithmi after quoting this Tradition, writes in his above mentioned book;



رواه الطبراني بإسناد ضعيف

مجمع الزوائد-الهيثمى:ج4 ص67 -باب في مرضه ووفاته صلى الله عليه وسلم وما أطلعه الله تعالى من ذلك


Which when translated means;

"Tabarani has narrated it with WEAK ISNAD."

{Majma' al-Zawaid vol.4 pg. 67. Chapter: About the illness and death of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and what Allah made known about this.}


SECONDLY THE NARRATION IS AGAINST ESTABLISHED FACTS:

The tradition says;"…there is no Prophet after other Prophet but he lives a life half then the one who lived earlier then him."But this is not true;

Think of the three prophets we believe: Hazrat Zakaria (Zechariah), his son Hazrat Yahya (John the Baptist) and Jesus. If Jesus lived to 120 years, then John the Baptist should have lived to 240, but he died before Jesus (and they were born less than a year apart, and John the Baptist was born earlier), executed by Herod.

Moreover, that must mean that Zechariah lived to 480 years old! By the time we reached Adam, he would have to live millions of years! If we work the other way round, the Bible records that Adam died at 930 years old (Genesis 5:5). Then geometric halving of ages clearly brings the life of Muhammad (or even Jesus) down to mere seconds.


Serious Implication !!

THESE POINTS ARE ENOUGH TO PROVE THAT THIS TRADITION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

FIRST AND THE FOREMOST REASON IS THAT IT IS WEAK (DA'EEF).

SECONDLY IT IS AGAINST HISTORICAL FACTS AS PROVED ABOVE.

BUT STILL IF ONE CLINGS TO IT, IT HAS SOME MORE IMPLICATIONS:As I wrote earlier that tradition is weak and against historical facts and thus not worth mentioning so it should not be presented as an evidence whatsoever. But still if somebody clings to it in his ignorance and stubbornness and if he also believes in someone like Mirza Qadiani as a Prophet or Messenger then he must put Mirza Qadiani against this tradition. If he was-God forbid !!- a prophet then he should have lived the life half of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Remember the tradition says;"…there is no Prophet after other Prophet but he lives a life half then the one who lived earlier then him."And as Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lived for 63 years then he in that case should have lived only 31 0r 32 years. But we know he lived far more, he lived for 73 years i.e. from 1835 to 1908. Thus if one clings to this WEAK tradition and considers it worth evidence then he should believe in the whole narration and thus should not believe Mirza Qadiani as a Prophet or Messenger but should know him only as a liar and an impostor.

MAY ALLAH GUIDE US ALL TO THE TRUTH. AMEN !!

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Vs Mirza Mahmood on 61:06

Jesus (PBUH) gives glad tiding of a Messenger after him in Bible which is also mentioned in Quran in Sura Saff

وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالُوا هَذَا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ

And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!"

Mirza Ghulam's Understanding of this verse:

Its strange that Allah mentions the demise of Jesus in His book whereas the people still consider him alive. This has created a lot of fitnah (trials) in Islam. Jesus is taken as The Self-Existing and The eternal while Prophet Muhammad is taken as “dead” on earth; when Quran narrates the shahadah (testification) of Jesus يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ “and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One.” This means that if Jesus’ soul has not left his body yet than Prophet Muhammad S.A.W has not landed on earth too. The teachings of Islam clearly tells us that when Jesus’ soul will be left without the encumbrance of body; only then will Prophet Muhammad’s body arrive on earth. The reason for this that in the ayah the arrival is mentioned in comparison to the departure i.e when one goes in THAT world, the other arrives in this world.

He was also named Ahmed so Jesus had prophesized about the same name “and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One.” This (Ahmed) means that the one who praises Allah the most. It is also true that one praises the other when he takes something from the other and the more he takes, the more he praises. If one is given a Rupee then he will praise accordingly but if he is given thousand bugs, he’ll praise 1000 times more. Therefore, it is obvious that Prophet Muhmmad got most of Allah’s blessing. The name is prophesized to be the heir and owner of immense blessing.

Prophet Muhmmad’s (S.A.W) name is Ahmed which Jesus had mentioned,يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ “and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One” indicates that there’ll be no prophet between me (Jesus) and Prophet Muhammad. ( Al-Hakam 5 31-Jan-1901 Page 11)



وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ “and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One” has glad tidings. It has two dimensions. First, Prophet Muhammad S.A.W himself was a glad tiding that ended the prophet hood in Israelites.

Mirza Mahmood's Understanding of This verse:

Regarding the prophecy Ismuhu Ahmad contained in the Holy Quran (Al-Saff, 61:6), my opinion is that the passage contains a double prophecy, relating to two persons, one a counter-type and the other his prototype. The counter-type of course is the Promised Messiahas, while the prototype is the Holy Prophetsa. The passage under reference speaks directly about the counter-type. A reference to the prototype of course comes in, but only indirectly inasmuch as the countertype of a Prophet necessarily presumes the existence of his original. Thus the verse does furnish a prophecy regarding the original Prophet from whom the immediate subject of the prophecy derived his dignity. The prophethood of the Holy Prophetsa was not a derived one. He was an original Prophet who was not indebted to any human teacher for the grace of prophethood, but was himself a dispenser of grace to others. To consider him as a recipient of spiritual Truth about the Split 59 grace from any human teacher is in my view a detraction from his proper dignity. For these reasons and on certain other grounds, I hold the opinion that the subject of this prophecy is primarily the Promised Messiahas who is the reflex of the Holy Prophetsa and the counter-type of Jesus Christ. But the whole question is one regarding which no decision on the basis of revealed authority has been left by any of the Prophets. Any discussion of the question therefore has little more than mere academic interest. If any person holds a different view regarding the interpretation of the verse, all that I shall say is that he is mistaken, but I shall never deem him, on that account, any the less an Ahmadi and much less shall I deem him a sinner. In short, the question as to who is the proper subject of this Quranic prophecy is not at all of such moment as to make it a problem of any great religious importance. For these reasons and on certain other grounds, I hold the opinion that the subject of this prophecy is primarily the Promised Messiahas who is the reflex of the Holy Prophetsa and the counter-type of Jesus Christ.

Did Mirza ever claim that He is primarily prophesied in that verse or Mirza Mahmood Ahmed had a better knowledge of Quran than Mirza???

Prophecy Regarding Marriage with Virgin and Widow

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed married twice in his lifetime. 1st with the daughter of his uncle when he was 12-14 and second was done at the age of almost 50 with Nusrat Jehan Begum.


Ask Shaikh Mohammad Hussein Batalvi under oath that is this not true that before this marriage which took place in Delhi, once I was present in his house. He asked me to relate some inspiration, I related to him a fresh inspiration which I had received in those days and proving this marriage and its second part. And it was this: 'Bikrun wa Thayabun' which means that it is destined that one marriage will be with a virgin and then after that with a widow. I remember this inspiration and I hope not that Mohammad Hussein has forgotten it. I remember his house where sitting on the chair I described this inspiration and there was no trace of Ahmad Baig's (daughter's) story in those days and there was no mention of this second marriage either. Thus if he thinks then he should know that this was a sign of God, whose one part he had seen (marriage with Nusrat Jehan Begum) and the second part concerning the widow, he will see it some other time."

Same incident is mentioned in Taryaq ul Qaloob, Roohani Khazain Vol. 15 P. 201)















No widow ever come to wedlock of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed, and He yet again is proven liar under his criteria.

"To Judge my truthfulness or lies, there is no better test than my prophecies."

Mirza's Prophecy About Long Life Of His four sons.

I am starting it once more with the claims of Mirza..

I swear upon God, I believe in these inspirations in similar manner as on Holy Quran and other Books from God, and just as I consider Holy Quran definitely and absolutely the word of God, likewise I believe that the revelations that descend on me are the words of God."

(Haqeeqatul Wahi p.211, Roohani Khazain vol.22 p.220)

Had this commandment not been from Allah , u would have found many contradictions in it.

PROPHECY:

41th sign was that , almost 20-21 years earlier I published an advertisement that God has promised to bless me with four sons who will live long. This prophecy is mentioned
in Muwahib ur Rahaman page 139.i.e All praise and glories be to Allah Who blessed me with four sons in old age and fulfilled His promise. So these are four sons Mehmood Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Sharif Ahmed and Mubarak Ahmed who are present and alive .

Mirza Mubarik Ahmed was born in 1899 and died Just after this Prophecy was written in 1907.


and who is not aware of the following words of Mirza

Out of 100 prophecies, even if one prophecy turns out to be wrong, I will admit that I AM A LIAR."

After this demise, when Mirza was criticized, Mirza said the following

My son Mubarak Ahmed was immature. He did not even reach 9 years of age when he died. And God had informed me twice, years before his death, that he will be dead before reaching maturity. (While Mirza Prophesied about the long lives just few months back of the death of Mirza Mubarik Ahmed) See below Scan Page


Mirza got another revelation on the same day when Mirza Mubarik died.

Means we present u with the glad tidings of a humble son. He would replace and take after Ahmed. So God did not want the enemies to be happy and gave me the news of another boy so that it becomes understandable that Ahmed is not dead but is still alive. (See below scan page)

No other Son ever born to Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadyani His last child was Amat ul Hafiz who born in 1904.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed's Prophecy About The Death of Abdul Hakeem

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadyani Claimed in his books at various places:

"I swear upon God, I believe in these inspirations in similar manner as on Holy Quran and other Books from God, and just as I consider Holy Quran definitely and absolutely the word of God, likewise I believe that the revelations that descend on me is the word of God."
(Haqeeqatul Wahi p.211, Roohani Khazain vol.22 p.220)

Mirza said at another place:

He does not say anything of his own will,rather whatever you hear, it is the revelation of God."
(Arba'een No. 3, Roohani Khazain vol.17, p. 427)

In May 1908, one of Mirza's ex-follower Abdul Hakeem Khan predicted that Mirza will die before 4th of August 1908 in his life time...
Mirza mentioned this incident in his book Chashma e Marifat (Roohani Khazayen Vol 23) which he wrote in May 1908.

A lot more enemies from Islam stood against me in similar fashion and got perished. Now another enemy has emerged, Abdul Hakeem Khan. He is a doctor by profession and resides in Patiyala. He claims that I would be dead in his life by 4th August 1908. This would be a great sign of his truthfulness. He tags me as Dajjal , Kafir and Kazzab. Initially he did bait on my hand and had been a great follower of mine for 20 years. Then he became a deviant because of a piece of advice that I just gave him for Allah's sake.The advice was regarding a religion.He became the follower of a religion, according to which salvation was possible without obeying Allah and Prophet PBUH, even if he is aware of the existence of Prophet PBUH. This claim was totally pointless and also against the unanimous consensus. But he didn’t learn the lesson. Therefore, I expelled him out of my party. Then he came up with the prophecy that I would be dead in his life by 4th august 1908.But God informed me that contrary to his prophecy, he would himself be put into torment, God will destroy him and I would be protected against his evil plans. So this is a trial whose result lies with Allah. Indeed the one who is truthful in the eyes of his Lord, shall be helped by Him.

Mirza had been getting revelations in support of his Prophecy ,He said to his followers,

Whatever Allah has directed me regarding this in those days, I m penning down those prophecies here. My Jamat should remember this and should paste it at some easy-to-look-at spot in their homes and should inform their woman and sons about it, and also inform their acquaintances about it in a gradual and effective manner. Because that day is about to arrive and God has seen everything. And now He shall put forth His decision in the matter between us and our opponents , those who do not abstain from abusing and foul language. (see scan page below)


And then He got another so called Ilham from God

This means, you have glad tidings in this world and hereafter. Your end is good and Godwilling,

Victory will be yours. We shall ease you of burden which has weighed down your back and shall raise high your fame. I am with you. I have remembered you. Therefore, you should remember me as well and widen your home. The time has come and you shall be helped. Your name will be taken with honour

And dignity among people. I m with you O Abraham and with your family too. And you are with Me, so is your family. I m Rahman. Wait for My help. And inform your enemy that God shall take good care of them. And lastly, narrated in Urdu, I shall lengthen your life. The enemy claims that from July 1907, only 14 months of your life are left, or whatever other enemies claim of the same sort, I shall turn them all liars. I shall lengthen your life. So that they know that I am God and every matter rests under my power.

Now see what Mirza said about his above Prophecy,

This is a great prophecy in which my victory and the defeat of my enemy, my honor and his dishonor, my rise and his fall, and my wrath on him has been mentioned. Regarding me, it is mentioned that my fame shall be raised high in this world, victory and help shall also come down to me. And my enemy, the one who wants to see me dead, shall himself be doomed to death just like those of As-haab ul feel.

He shall raise my name in every corner of the world. So the people of my Jamat should wait for this prophecy and present great example with taqwa ( the fear of God) and Taharat (cleanliness)

Few days after this Prophecy was made by Dr. Abdul Hakeem, Mirza Ghulam Ahmed died on 26th of May 1908, while Abdul Hakeem died in 1919, eleven years after the death of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadyani.

This Prophecy of Mirza is enough to prove him a "liar" and sabotage his false ideology but Allah has made the decision in Quran,


صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لا يَرْجِعُونَ
Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path).(002.018)
